Managing Osteoarthritis in Dogs and Cats: Intra-articular Injection Therapies | Presented by Matthew Brunke, DVM, DACVSMR (Canine), CCAT

This 1-hour continuing education course explores the management of osteoarthritis (OA) in canine and feline patients, emphasizing evidence-based strategies for alleviating pain and improving mobility. The course highlights targeted intra-articular injectable therapies, offering minimally invasive alternatives or adjuncts to systemic therapies. Attendees will gain practical insights into integrating these advanced modalities into clinical practice to optimize patient outcomes.

Tin-117m Radiosynoviorthesis for Treatment of Canine Osteoarthritis | Presented by Robert Menardi, DVM

This course is intended to provide an introduction to the use of radiosynoviorthesis (RSO) in veterinary medicine. A review of the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis and a discussion of the mechanism of action of RSO will provide rationale for this use. The physics of RSO isotopes will be addressed, with emphasis on Tin-117m. Preclinical and clinical safety and effectiveness data will be shared. Along with an overview of the administration process and practical considerations, safe handling and safety to pets and pet owners will be covered.
